LOSER
Two dancers enter the emotional labyrinth of people who stand out from the crowd - the losers. Women and men are always under pressure to fulfil certain expectations. Time and again, they find themselves in conflict between the social need to belong to the system and the strong urge for self-realisation. There is an interplay between conforming and escaping, which drives the two losers to extreme states.
Karolin Stächele deals with the basic human need to be part of a group and to gain recognition by creating a status symbol. She is particularly interested in the extent to which the individual decides for themselves or is a slave to society.
